How AI Can Replace The Soul In Writing (Eventually)
You didn’t read that wrong.
Many people are worried about getting replaced by AI, especially in the creative industry. However, some argue that AI will merely allow faster productivity and convenience.
It won’t ruin writing, art, or a plethora of jobs. Instead, it will create new employment opportunities, pressing people to utilize the tool.
After all, AI content saps the soul of human creativity. People can still tell the difference, right?
Well, not exactly.
Think of it this way: the more people become dependent on using AI, the more accepted it will be in the future.
Is it convenient? Sure!
But while others use prompts as a tool for inspiration, those born into these methods won’t know the difference.
I’m writing about children in this case.
We’re approaching a generation where prompts might replace critical thinking. Instead of learning to write something, we are taught to prompt the right ideas and let AI do the work. We are encouraged to cross-check the prompt rather than the information.
The older generations might strike some balance between using AI and their personal voice, but we can’t say the same for the coming generation.
If AI becomes the new norm, how sure are you that it won’t replace the future’s voice or standard for defining creativity?
Imagine a world where authors aren’t revered for their skill to write but rather to prompt!
We may see the differences between AI content and people through experience, but given that the young are born into this privilege, can we say the same for them?
Think about that for a moment.
